Exploring Rome naturally lends itself to miles of walking, so begin your journey at Hotel Lancelot for a head start. Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Monti, Hotel Lancelot is a sanctuary—a perfect blend of comfort and classic Italian style. Considering the central location and the extraordinary staff, the price is very reasonable.
It’s a stone’s throw from the Coliseum, bathed in classic Italian style, with tasteful modern amenities. The location makes it easy to return to the hotel, which can be a real advantage when bringing work on the road.
When it comes to food, Cacio e Pepe is known to be a Roman specialty, and I love La Taverna Dei Fori Imperiali’s version. A two-minute walk from the hotel, you can also find rustic Hostaria Isidoro Al Colosseo. The patio is ideal, if there’s room. After finishing emails for the day, be sure to check out La Casetta a Monti for an aperitif. If you’re looking for a local cafe, check out Cafe Propaganda. It’s a casual, easy place to catch up on things in a more traditional cafe while maintaining Italian quality and warmth.
Visit the hotel’s courtyard for a coffee, or if you’re able to secure a room with a balcony, catch up on those emails in your room before heading out. Each room has wifi and a/c, a real luxury in the hot summer months.
This hotel offers a great launching pad to embrace Rome’s history, culture, and food scene. It’s comfortable and beautiful, with all the necessary amenities, offering a personalized stay for business and pleasure.
KATIE’S MUSTS:
Indulge in Cacio e Pepe. Its simplicity is its genius.
Become friendly with the staff for any needs. They’re truly helpful and can make the stay exceptional.
Explore the city in the mornings and evenings for cooler weather. It can get quite hot in the summer months, so take advantage of the hotel’s convenient location and don’t overdo it.
